We had some serious current of air hither in Ohio over the concluding day. It must have knocked my dish out of whack on the roof, because now some Hard disk drive channels do not come up in. I am getting low bespeak strength on the 99 c sat.
So, my question is, if I call Directv and accept them come out and arrange the dish, will I be charged for that? They did some dish adjustments for free most a month later my initial install, but that was a yr agone.
Any ideas?
Thank you!

sometimes they will allow you enroll in the service plan and do the $29 or so call charge, but yes, there is a charge in almost all situations (just like most cablevision co'southward).

Thanks for the reply. No protection program for me, that I know of. I will see if my wife requested it when she signed up. $75 is steep. I estimate that doesn't surprise me. Thank you again...

Not to mention a new ii year commitment
They don't extend your contract over a service call yous paid for.
I've heard information technology'south $l to have a directv tech. come out a take a dish re-aligned.
Call around to local dish installers and ask what they'd accuse for a DIRECTV dish realignment. You don't have to schedule this thru DIRECTV.

Sounds similar a s;ight wind movement considering the installer did non suspension the bolts.....Take a one/2 " wrench to the dish. Set the set up--in menu to the 103 sat...in card..........and call your wife past cell telephone.
Mark where the pole and dish are now alligned by drawing a line from the dish base to the mast.
Loosen the three (3) bolts on the side of the pole or mast enough to permit the dish to motility. See what you lot become.

1. Protection Plan does not extend contract and niether does a free service call at our discreation.
two. a Service call went for 75 down to 49.95 early on this yr. And then information technology is 49.95
three. nothing involving service calls extends contracts
four. PP is only 5.99 and it covers replacment remotes (free replacements)

Stonecold....y'all da homo!
However, my charge per unit to fix DTV installs that are obviously wrong is $60.00 to me.
The HSPs just kick them out the door.
Engaging subcontractors just postpones the problem.
Now......equally Directv enters another decade....do y'all recall they could take responsibility for the installations?.......Do you remember they could offer an installer grade at local high schools and hire a few of the graduates? Running professionals out of the business and hiring kids + crooks has done ok.
Could they do better?

I have the protection plan, BUT learned that a problem I had was not covered. The installer had left some of the cable running from the pole mounted antenna exposed. Well, I was mulching the leaves this fall (and thus could not see the exposed wire) -- and you guessed information technology the lawn mower blade snagged and severed the cable. I called, and was told that was "beyond the telescopic" of the protection plan, and I would be charged $50 to get it fixed. So I basically spliced it myself with ii connectors, a female-to-female person coupler, and some heat shrink tubing, then I reburied it on my own.
So, reading the "fine impress, fifty-fifty though the installeR told me 'if a tree roughshod on my dish and broke it, the program would embrace it', A CAREFUL READING SEEMS TO EXCLUDE ANTENNA Harm.

Mostly the more realistic scope is if you sliced the cable with a backyard mower or midweek whacker or you had kids cut the cablevision they wont embrace it. Generally I never seen a tech call on say a tree breakign the dish they would just replace anyhow.
PS well-nigh of the time the billing agents dont cheque the tech notes so they will credit back the service call if they see protection programme listed. Non saying they should but merely saying they about likely will.
